About the role: Responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing manufacturing and business process improvements that increase capacity, reduce lead-time, reduce the work-in-process, improve fill-rates, and improve process flow and efficiency. These actions will occur across multiple facets of Boston Scientific's organization including: manufacturing, design, supplier development, documentation, and Boston Scientific suppliers. Projects will incorporate lean manufacturing, theory of constraints, quick response manufacturing, Just-In-Time, Methods-Time Measurement, or a variety of other systems improvement philosophies. The employee will be required to create strong relationships with team members internal and external to Boston Scientific to ensure project success. Your Responsibilities Include: Analyzes, creates and implements manufacturing and/or business process improvements that increase capacity, reduce lead-time, eliminate non-valued added, reduce work in process and improve fill rates. Completes capacity analysis internally and/or at suppliers for headcount, equipment and space requirements using simulation software or other effective tools. Designs, implements and maintains effective metrics with internal customers or suppliers to ensure unbridled supply is achieved. Participates as a core member in cross-functional teams to quickly troubleshoot and eliminate product supply issues internally or at suppliers. Makes recommendations to design teams, which drive higher yielding, lower cost, more manufacturable products. May use financial analyses tool and recommend alternative courses of action Convinces internal customer or suppliers to make fundamental changes to their manufacturing and/or business processes so that unbridled supply can be achieved. Supports safety & ergonomic projects Leads Kaizen Events with large groups of people with the objective to increase line productivity & efficiency. Develops improvement projects in the production lines to maximize footprint and release clean room space using CAD software. What we're looking for: Bachelor or Licenciature degree in Industrial Engineer or Related Field. English Level desired: 80-89%.
