Your Role- specifically in the central American and Caribbean markets.We are looking for a highly motivated individual, a strategic thinker with an understanding of the built environment and real estate market, who can interpret Gensler's brand and experience, and curate it into engaging communications strategies.What You Will Do- Work with Regional Leadership to develop and implement PR strategies and campaigns for our key LATAM markets.- Position our regional leadership and design talent, industry-leading research, and real-time thought leadership with major news outlets, leveraging your robust network of media relationships.- Develop and execute a holistic media relations program with a shared set of KPIs, including our approach to awards and other brand positioning opportunities.- Craft and pitch meaningful and impactful stories about Gensler people and projects to the appropriate media outlets (print, social, digital, etc.).- Coordinate interviews, media training and reporter follow ups for Gensler spokespeople.- Guide high-level decision making with experience in PR risk issues and developing scenarios.- Lead industry speaking engagements on behalf of the regions thought leaders.- Work closely with Global Firmwide PR and Marketing teams on global campaigns by creating relevance in local market.- Seek to understand the region's portfolio, the firm's structure and actively seeks out best practices for use in regional PR efforts.- Grow a team who will drive our media relations strategy under your leadership.- Cultivate relationships with journalists and reporters across major news outlets and industry trades.- Manage engagement with any outside agency partners.Your Qualifications- Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.- 10+ years of experience in a PR position; experience in the real estate, design or building industries is of interest; agency or journalism experience is helpful.- Bilingual (English and Spanish).- Experience developing business in Mexico, Central and South America markets.- Strong relationships with key national, global architecture and design trade media + consumer lifestyle, news, and business media, and proven track record of placing significant stories.- Knowledge of central America and Caribbean markets.- Experience collaborating with and counseling senior executives (Managing Directors, Subject Matter Experts, et. al.).- Works well as a member of a team, forward-thinking ambitious person.- Ability to adapt in dynamic settings with "make it happen" leadership skills.- Excellent communication, writing, conceptual design skills.- Proven ability to set and manage personal priorities and move projects forward with mínimal guidance; senior-level initiative; and problem-solving ability.Please submit a cover letter, resume, and portfolio.
