Purchasing Associate

**Duties and Responsibilities**- Quality control of requisitions- Ascertains if complete requisitions has been provided- Generate purchase orders and purchase order amendments as required- Verification of single or sole source documentation per applicable standard and DOA- Works within the Global DOA approval authorities and escalates as required- Maintain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system data to ensure accuracy during the entire Procure-to-Pay cycle- Issue and expedite supplier acknowledgement in conformance to agreed final Purchase Order- Receive acknowledgement and update Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system- Expedite shipment and materials per project procedures- Inform local office or buyer about status of shipment- Coordinate with logistics on custom clearance- Shipment receipt acknowledgement into ERP system- Administer Purchase Order reconciliation- Closure of Purchase Order as per standard policy- Support the buyers with the overall suppliers evaluation process- Ensures orders are in compliance of LAM requirements- Ensure compliance to Emerson Record Retention Policy at all times- Ensure compliance to Emerson's Ethics Policy at all times- Accurately upload, enter, and book order in business systems.- Using the established standards, check that all information supplied by the Customer / Project Manager is correct and complete to ensure the material is going to be deliver on time- Collaborate and coordinate with all the teams to follow up or activate orders that are facing a setback, this includes: intercompany factories, logistics, credit and invoice departments.- Initiate proactive communication with Customers / Project Manager to resolve purchase order issues or to collect missing information at the order entry stage.**Qualifications**- Demonstrated abilities in ERP based systems such as JDE, ORACLE, SAP etc. (Oracle preferred)- Computer literate- Excellent professional written and verbal English skills required, special language skills whenever specified- Dynamic and proactive- Good interpersonal skills- Provide solutions/ options- Excellent sense of urgency
