GFS is at the heart of the Finance function - accountable to the AstraZeneca (AZ) Group for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes that enable our customers to focus on AZ's strategic priorities.The creation of the Global Financial Services (GFS) centers in Warsaw (Poland), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and San José (Costa Rica) will transform the AZ Middle Office and Back Office to a central function, supporting the business regions through simplification, standardization across the globe, and a structure that is scalable to support the bold ambition of becoming a $50bn company by 2025.We have exciting opportunities to join our GFS Center in San José, which will establish best practices and be responsible for providing support to embedded finance (CFOs and country business partners and or BPs in Manufacturing).**Role Profile**Enterprise role covering the Process area of R2R (inc. Intercompany, Tax and Treasury) with a Global remit. The role will be a critical enabler between the wider Business and IT to ensure a seamless transition to S/4 HANA as part of the Axial Programme.Providing support and analysis on the development and delivery of transformational processes. Ensuring we remediate the Finance enabling systems architecture. This architecture/systems currently sits outside of SAP, for example Blackline, External Reporting Hub (ERH) and Quantum.**Key Responsibilities**- This role will help drive the remediation of Finance enabling systems (outside of SAP). To ensure business processes in R2R can transform and work with/or move to S/4 HANA.- Provide analysis to support the comprehensive enterprise-wide review of R2R Finance enabling systems (outside of SAP).- Work on and investigate decommissioning opportunities of technologies, as well as opportunities to move processes to S/4 HANA. Ability to pull together data and analysis to support decision making.- Provide analytical insights into the "Fit to Standard" workshops for the Design Phase of the project.- Work on and investigate globally agreed Business Improvement strategies including process and technology related to the R2R function.- Creates, governs, and implements the remediation of systems to align with the S/4 HANA vision. Critical enabler between IT and the Business.- Implement process changes to improve the way R2R teams perform activities.- Ensures that all process development delivers to AstraZeneca and regulatory standards, e.g., SHE, GxP, SOX, Accounting GAAP etc.- Works collaboratively across functions to achieve desired outcomes, whilst engaging key stakeholders and ensuring Project deliverables are met.- Ability to maintain and help track Project Plans to ensure Project reporting is robust and accurate.- Expert accounting knowledge that can be applied to enable, evaluate, and drive the process changes required.**Essential Criteria**- Relevant professional certification or Accountancy qualification and/or Degree within field- Experience in Business and Process improvement- Excellent stakeholder management skills within a matrix organisation- Exposure to Accounting Systems, Tools, and ability to analyse/present data analytics from them, to support decision making.- Exposure to Project style working with numerous Stakeholders**Desirable criteria**- S/4 HANA experience or SAP experience- Expert knowledge of own process area and associated data, and integrations with other processes- Solid understanding of business process management, establishing and governing global standard processes- Expert knowledge of how own process area is transacted in SAP**Other Role Requirements**- Schedule flexibility to work on holidays when necessary.- Flexibility and Ability to travel and work in another AZ facilities outside the country when necessary.- Schedule flexibility to work on the days off given by the wellness Policy when necessary (Política de Bienestar).**Internal and External Contacts/Customers**Will interface with other Shared Services functions, Business CFOs/Finance Business Partners and 3rd party service providers.
