**_Title: Senior Accountant Bilingual (English/Spanish)_****_ Reports to: Director, Finance and Accounting & On-Site Project Controller_**Discovery Land Company's project Zapotal Beach Club is currently seeking a Senior Accountant Bilingual (English/Spanish) this position will be based in Scottsdale, AZ.**_Key Responsibilities_**- Month-end accounting closing/reporting including standard & recurring journal entries, payroll entries, real estate closings, and review of detailed general ledgers- Maintain accurate general and subsidiary ledgers- Homeowner-related billing for milestone and change order activity- Working knowledge of bank wires- Monthly reporting to include balance sheet & bank reconciliations and financial statements including consolidated entity financials.- Participate, as applicable, in the annual external audit exercise- Process improvement and implementation of current GAAP/IFRS pronouncements with guidance from Discovery Corporate Accounting & Tax, Project Controller, and external tax specialists.- Assist with the project's annual budget process- Provide exceptional service and communication at all times with members, guests, and team members- Coordinate with or assist other departments as needed- Any other duties as assigned**_About Zapotal Beach Club_**Zapotal Beach Club is in harmony with the living nature of Costa Rica.
