Your RoleThe Talent Development Specialist plans, coordinates, delivers, and assesses diverse talent development activities, covering technical and non-technical training, performance management, and career development. Reporting to the Regional Talent Development Manager, this role collaborates with local, regional, and global teams to create and implement programs addressing the development needs of technical and administrative team members. Responsibilities include assessing talent development needs and formulating strategic solutions aligned with regional and firmwide goals. The role also includes organizing and facilitating on-the-job training for the Costa Rica office.What You Will DoCollaborate with key stakeholders, including Regional Manager Principals, Office Manager Directors, Regional HR Director, and Global Talent Development Leader, to develop and implement a strategic talent development plan.Execute the talent development strategy for the Costa Rica office in partnership with the Regional Talent Development Manager, covering activities, processes, metrics, and results.Serve as the local Talent Development Specialist for the CR office, working closely with senior members.Act as an LMS expert, providing training and guidance to HR and Admin members.Identify learning needs by meeting with Studio Leaders regularly and work with subject matter experts to develop learning programs and activities, including training materials and documentation.Ensure alignment of talent development strategies with HR strategies in collaboration with the local HR team.Collaborate with the Regional HR Director and Firmwide talent development on regional and firmwide initiatives.Develop, organize, and conduct learning programs to foster a learning culture.Review and analyze the effectiveness of talent development activities, recommending updates.Implement learning opportunities to align with business procedures, policies, and systems.Track, monitor, and report on talent development activities and spending against the budget.Optimize the LMS for tracking learning hours, skills gaps, and needs.Engage with local learning providers/vendors to bring in external expertise.Function as a coach on learning and talent development needs within the team's services.Your QualificationsBachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, or related field.4+ years of talent development, L&D, or HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced professional services or consulting industry.Bilingual in Spanish and English.Proven ability to prioritize tasks, take ownership, show initiative, and follow through.Experienced training facilitator with expertise in leadership and soft skills.Passionate about learning and coaching, with a track record in building and facilitating learning programs.Proficient in HRIS (preferably Workday) and MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.Desirable skills include data and HR analytics literacy (Excel, BI tools, data management).Strong interpersonal communication skills.Business acumen with the ability to think creatively and understand broader organizational needs.Strong project management skills, handling multiple priorities with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proven ability to lead and manage change, as well as coach, evaluate, and mentor.Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a matrix environment.Life at Gensler At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
