Our passion for innovation, a pioneering spirit and the unique Puratos culture drive our solid growth and vision for the future This, along with our commitment to our local communities, is what makes working at Puratos so magical.To strengthen our team in Puratos de Costa Rica we are looking for:**Analista de Investigación y Desarrollo****Cartago****Your Mission****Ensure the research, development and/or adaptation of Products **required by the company**_ _**to contribute to the business growth and operational efficiency.****What you will do**- Development of new products and concepts in line with the yearly marketing plan andcustomer demands by following the process.- Participate in the cost reduction programs maintaining performances, including raw material rationalization, optimisation of existing portfolios (SKU reduction, positioning,...)- Business Development support to Sales for product categories by identifying new business opportunities at large customers.- Making internal and external presentation and seminars explaining benefits of our products- Support in case of quality issues by using root-cause analysis and rework, ensuring that all steps are respected for a faultless implementation of new products in production and review on a yearly base with QC the non-conformities and look for optimizations- Ensure complete documentation on raw materials, formulations, process parameters, item requests, QC tests, labelling, TDS on new or revised products;- Build around the expertise an active network of high commercial value of customers, machine suppliers, researchers, vendors and the international Puratos R&D community- Provide intelligence on innovative raw materials & technologies that can differentiate our products- Comply with our food safety procedures upon new raw material selection, product development or modification and sample preparation.- report all food safety and quality issues to immediate Supervisor and / or head of Quality.**What we expect from you**- University Studies: Food Engineer, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineer or similar career.- At least 2 years of experience in related positions, ideally in the food or manufacturing industry.- Knowledge of ISO/FSSC22000 quality- Excel and SAP knowledge.- Proficiency in the English language.**Competencies**- Business development capacities - customer oriented - Strong networker- Organization and planning.- Ability to negotiate and solve problems.- Autonomy and initiative.- Teamwork oriented.- Decision making and leadership.We are a warm family company with a historical growth track record and a clear long-term vision for the future.
