Data Manager

Data Manager:
As a Data Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the data warehouse and data engineering teams. You will provide leadership and direction to developers across a variety of projects and tasks in the data management spaca. As a Data Manager, you will have a heavy focus on project planning and delivery, building teams and providing direction to a team of 5-7 developers . To be successful in this role you will need a solid understanding of data management concepts and a proven track record leading data teams through change.

Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 5-7 data warehouse and engineers
Assist development team and provide technical recommendations to achieve all targets.
Oversee resources onl data projects.
Analyze and recommend changes to increase productivity across teams
Monitor all long term objectives and initiate necessary decisions.
Train data warehouse staff around appropriate maintenance and development of all data.
Evaluate staff performance
Manage various projects and facilitate reuse of architecture.
Review security reports and research violations
Oversee data policies
Mentor developers and other team members around data technologies
Determine capacity and budgeting for data systems
Facilitate estimates and oversight within a Scrum environment
Ability to travel to United States 2-3 times a year
Lead code reviews
Must have keen attention to detail

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
At least 5 years of managing data development teams
Excellent english skills
Hands on experience working with complex data warehouses/lakes
Demonstrated track record of growing teams
Data Modeling experience
Proficient with SQL, python and/or Scala
Experience with AWS data services(S3,Glue,EMR,Redshift/Snowflake)
5 years experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle
Effective organization skills with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects
Expertise on the Agile methodologies (SCRUM)
