The Director, Global Supply Planning, Sports and ENT is responsible for driving positive transformation across the SPM & ENT supply chain. This includes leading Global Supply SIOP and site level S&OE reviews with the manufacturing sites, help define inventory stocking policies to optimize service and inventory levels for specified product groups, and leading all planning activities with our manufacturing sites.What will you be doing?This position will lead a team of supply chain professionals with responsibility for meeting all established goals for the organization. The position will report to the Senior Director, Global Planning, Sports & ENT. In addition, this role will provide global supply plans while maintaining global continuity of supply to support manufacturing operations globally, focused and supporting the strategy of Smith+Nephew. This role will also be responsible for enabling tools and developing processes to analyse trends, root causes and implementing both tactical and pivotal initiatives to improve supply availability, ability to project disruptions, while minimizing global inventories. Core Execution: Accountability for the entire SPM & ENT product portfolio, partnering closely with the Senior Director, Global Planning, Sports & ENT to develop the planning elements of the Supply Chain strategy ensuring interdependencies are addressed in the plan. Management of the global supply chain performance management metrics/scorecard, driving root cause analysis and corrective action plans. ØQuality: Perform all activities in compliance with relevant Quality System standards and specifically with FDA Quality System Regulations. ØMonitoring/Maintenance: Certify development of an accurate and effective Master Supply Plan for each product group. Ensure an effective Inventory Policy is in place for each global stocking location.Team Building: Develop and lead a Supply Planning organization capable of handling future business needs through continuous improvement initiatives, including systems and support elements. Run, mentor and develop an effective and motivated team, who achieve team, functional and business objectives. Knowledge of ERP/ MRP / DRP, Forecast Models, Inventory Strategies, and Sales and Operations Planning, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint• Building Relationships and Using Influence: Strong interpersonal skills crucial to effectively interact and earn credibility with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting inventory management throughout the network.• Personal Competencies: An energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of thriving in a fast paced and sophisticated environment.
