Our Operations team leverages our PPI (Practical Process Improvement Business System) to manufacture and produce these products and continuously improve productivity and quality all while contributing to our Mission - to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.The Supply chain director will be responsible for developing and implementing demand/supply planning strategy and activities across key categories and suppliers. They will collaborate with internal divisions and category teams to develop short-medium-long-term demand plans/forecasts and work with suppliers on supply planning (capacity, materials, etc.) activities. They will set up a process to collate demand forecasts and plans from all divisions within Thermo Fisher and create a consolidated demand signal for the suppliers. The person will also work with the suppliers to identify supply-related risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with procurement.**Key Responsibilities**:**Planning and Strategy development**- Collaborate with internal divisions/business units and Procurement Category teams to develop long-term (3-5 Year) capacity plans, medium-term (12-18 month) demand forecasts and short-term (6-12 month) commitment plans- Set up a process to consolidate demand plans and forecasts from various divisions into a single demand signal for Thermo Fisher- Work with suppliers and internal manufacturing site leaders on supply planning activities, and drive/facilitate allocation across divisions- Define and get alignment on tactical planning parameters (MOQs, frozen planning windows etc.)- Develop material requirements based on consolidated demand signals for suppliers**Risk Management**- Collaborate with suppliers and procurement to identify supply related risks- Facilitate the development of supply risk mitigation strategies in concert with category management teams and partner with site leaders to handle material shortage issues- Coordinate with site partners to address any deliveries delays and shortages**Data Analysis and Reporting**- Develop dashboards for periodic report outs for division leads and external manufacturing partners- Perform data reporting via Excel, Microsoft Project, other reporting softwares- Perform data gathering from multiple sources (E1, EDW, Hyperion, Oracle R12, Cognos, others)**Qualifications**:**Minimum Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field- 8+ years of validated experience in supply chain planning, manufacturing, supply chain analytics, or supply chain risk management- Experience in production planning and capacity management policies and procedures, the capability to evaluate capacity models, smooth production loads and identify and overcome constraints- Proven understanding of manufacturing concepts and principles, finite scheduling, product flow, data management, and S&OP- Highly proficient in handling and analyzing data in Excel; complex pivot tables & reporting, power query, sophisticated charting, data analysis- Ability to demonstrate influencing skills, judgment, tact- Strong communication and organization skills**Preferred Qualifications**:- Experience supporting the creation of processes outside an ERP environment and integrating them into the environment- Certified in production and inventory management, supply chain management, or Project management; APICS CPIM, CSCP, Project management PMP, or ISM CPSM- Planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP tools (Made2Manage, Oracle, SAP, JDE, server-based systems)**Benefits**:We offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus scheme, healthcare, company pension, and a range of employee benefits!
