Finance Bi Analyst

:Be able to 'tell a story' using advanced analytics and data visualization techniquesDerive data driven insights in close partnership with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Data Science teams to expose opportunities for revenue and cost optimizationLeverage visualization tools such as Power BI and SAS Visual Analytics to perform interactive data exploration that help businesses and senior leaders understand impact of seen opportunitiesSupport the maintenance and development of the centralized reporting environmentDevelop reporting solutions that set a higher standard in terms of analytical insight and user experienceRequirements/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Statistics, or a related field, Master's preferred1-2 years' experience building dashboards and reporting solutions with PowerBIExperience analyzing large, complex data sets yielding opportunities for revenue and/or process improvement within an organizationAbility to problem solve and scale solutionsExcel and SQL experience requiredUnderstanding of data lakes and relational databases preferredExperience in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAS Analytics) is requiredExperience/awareness of DAX, Python, MDX is an advantageExperience with Azure Analysis Services or SQL Server Analysis Services preferredHighly numerate, with the ability to analyze, model and interpret dataA passion for accuracy with high levels of attention to detailA focus on delivering a quality product to specification and within agreed timelinesInterpersonal skills: exceptional verbal/written communication, listening and presentation skillsProven track record of achieving desired results without direct report authorityMinimal travel required <10%Build and maintain data models within Azure Analysis Services and DatabricksWork with customers to capture requirements and deliver solutionsEnsure the quality and correctness of the data through validation and reconciliationQuery databases and understand how to combine data from different sourcesPerforms other duties as assignedAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
