In our Hardware Team you will join a culture committed to developing the right products to create value for our customers. The team develops DC/Power instrumentation used by leading Semiconductor companies to characterize and production test their devices. Therefore, you are expected to master strong fundamental knowledge within Electrical/Electronics engineering, analog design, and have strong analytical and simulation skills. ResponsibilitiesAs an experienced Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for executing all the engineering activities to design hardware elements with a high degree of creativity and quality: Use and tailor our Design processes and procedures. Participate in the definition of product requirements, architecture, and its implementation. Articulate design trade-offs to navigate over constrained design problems. Conduct design reviews and address feedback. Define PCB materials, stack-up and layout rules. Drive PCB schematic and layout design, working with internal PCB design team. Drive Signal/Power Integrity performance optimization, working with internal simulation team. Define and perform hardware prototyping validation and characterization experiments in a hands-on manner. Document results clearly and concisely. Resolve complex hardware problems by applying a logical and methodical approach and lead cross-functional collaboration as needed. Provide on-the-job training and coaching to less experienced engineers. Provide training to internal customers. Basic Qualifications & Skills Hardware Technical Skills Familiar with digital hardware design ( FPGA, uControllers, system buses, ADC/DAC interfaces, mixed speed and signal circuit topologies). Familiar with computer interfaces (UART, PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, USB, DDR and the like). Experience with Op-amps, transistors, AC and DC circuit analysis, power supplies, printed circuit board schematic and layout, general electrical engineering. Experience with the fundamentals of PCB design (routing rules, printed circuit boards stackup, impedance, crosstalk, High Current/Voltage, differential signals, etc..). Tools Printed Circuit Board design tools (Cadence preferred, OrCAD, Eagle, etc..). Simulation tools (Cadence, LT Spice). JIRA. Additional Qualifications Lab Equipment: DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, analyzers, compliance testing. Programming skills a plus: one or more of Python, Visual Basic, C/C++ or other language. Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem solving skills. Ability to navigate multiple levels of abstraction efficiently from the technical details to the big picture. Adaptability and ability to learn new skills. Commitment to excellence, efficiency, and product quality. Strong command of English. Education BS or MS equivalent in electrical/electronic or computer engineering or related field 5+ years of applicable engineering experience Familiar with Remote/Hybrid work environment
