Job Overview: The Head of Maintenance for a luxury villa in Costa Rica is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the property's maintenance and ensuring that it is kept in excellent condition at all times. This includes managing a team of maintenance staff, creating and implementing maintenance schedules, and coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless operations.Key Responsibilities: Manage a team of maintenance staff (1 person), including hiring, training, and scheduling work Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure the villa and its grounds are kept in excellent condition Oversee all repairs and maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping to ensure seamless operations Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and requirements Landscamping maintenance and improvement Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for larger-scale repairs and renovations Perform regular inspections and maintenance of the property to identify areas in need of repair or improvement Create and manage budgets for maintenance and repairs Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, expenses, and warranties.Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a similar maintenance management role English Speaking is a MUST* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills In-depth knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices Experience with budgeting and financial management Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment WorkingConditions: This position requires the Head of Maintenance to work on-site at the luxury villa in Costa Rica. The work schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed to ensure seamless operations.The Head of Maintenance may be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up heavy items.
