IT Corporate Learning Management Systems Support Analyst

The Learning Management System Support Analyst is part of the Digital Learning Solutions team that is responsible for the support and delivery of the corporately supported learning technologies for all 3M Business Groups and its customers. This is done in a way that accelerates customer engagement by matching world class and innovative technology solutions to customer/learner needs. The team is encompassed of a group of practitioners and vendors focused on digital learning delivery, design and content practices that expand the role of technology-based customer engagement at 3M and take customer education to a new level of innovation and impact.

Job Description:

The Learning Management Systems Support Analyst provides technical leadership and expertise in the support of 3M’s Corporately supported learning related tech stack which currently includes:

- SumTotal, 3M’s Learning Management System (LMS).

- 3M’s Web Content Management system.

- 3M’s externally facing identity management system.

- Microsoft Power BI to be used in conjunction with our Learning Management System reporting system for data metrics and analytics.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Provide technical support for the Learning Management System tech stack worldwide.

· Coordinate technical related work with DSC (Digital Service Centers) worldwide for Learning Management System access.

· Maintain distribute monthly KPI’s/metrics and related reports for the entire learning space.

· Develop and maintain technical documentation including flow-charts and end-user help. This includes becoming an expert in certain areas of our Learning Management System and tech stack.

· Act as a technical liaison to business groups.

· Cross-train with other members of the Learning Management System team for backup, including the system administrators and analyst.

· Represent the Corporate Learning Management System team at vendor trainings and meetings as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

- Technical skills including troubleshooting, and understanding of directory, file structures, and systems.
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization, customers and vendors.
- Ability to gain new technical skills quickly.
- Customer service skills, responsive can-do attitude.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in layman’s terms.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical oriented field.
- Experience with, coursework and/or certifications relating to Microsoft Power BI, Visio or similar.
- Learning Management experience.
- Content or knowledge management experience.
- Familiarity with course design and development tools such as Articulate Storyline 2.
- Working knowledge of multiple technologies, such as HTML, SAML, API, xAPI, SQL, SCORM, etc.
- Experience working with an international team.
- Familiarity with Jira and Agile methodologies.
