Plans, coordinates and resolves accounting matters with other accounting members, departments, locations, and divisions.- Strive for cross-functional alignment to achieve End-To-End Process Harmonization- Manage analysis of balance sheet and P&L transactions.- Review, control and approve Account Reconciliations and journal entries.- Supervise month-end close activities and communicate risks and opportunities to Associate Manager.- Find opportunities to improve closing activities and drive process improvement- Take a leadership role for accounting-related issues and ensure company adherence to policies and procedures, US GAAP, and local GAAP- Maintain business partnerships with other client departments, locations and regions, and internal customers/suppliers.- Oversee and support the accountant and senior positions in the team by promoting a team environment and providing work direction and guidance.- Complete special projects as assigned.- Monitoring and optimization of business processes with regards to efficiency and effectiveness- Performs other related work as assigned by management**What do you need?**- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance- Proficiency in the English language- Computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly Excel- ERP System (SAP, Oracle or QAD)- 4-5 years of relevant working experience in a finance function in matrixed international company (preferably an American or Multinational company) with complex reporting practices and with exposure to various reporting systems- Experience of working in a shared service center across a global /large organization will be an added advantage**Physical & mental requirements**:- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and multi-task- Versatile, motivated, creative, intellectually curious, an excellent communicator and collaborator- Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment- Highly organized with demonstrated ability to meet commitments within strict deadlines- Effective problem-solving skills**Know someone at Stryker?**:**About Stryker**:Stryker is one of the world's leading medical technology companies and, together with our customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
