Mid Aws / Devops Engineer

Our Client is looking for an experienced AWS/DevOps Engineer. We need a professional who tries to think outside the box, once the client is open to suggestions for using new technologies and using approaches that seek continuous improvement. The main function in this project will be to migrate the database from SQL Server 2008 to the latest, involving database, reporting service and integration services. In addition, the process of creating these servers will use DevOps practices, used by the customer with Chef Technology. This person will deploy and maintain applications in production and pre:production and also assist with the day to day operations, including: building automation, adhering to architectural guidelines, making improvements in design, deployment, and monitoring of the environments, as well as instrumenting services to measure performance metrics.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Windows Administration in a cloud environment.
Automation/configuration management.
Proficiently use a wide variety of technologies and cloud services.
Code and script languages.
Overall Cloud infrastructure including design, implementation, technical services and support.
Building tools to automate the management of hybrid infrastructure across multiple data canter's and Amazon Web Services.

Qualifications:

3:4 years IT infrastructure experience.
Experience automating and configuring using Chef.
2+ years deploying Amazon Web Services (AWS) public cloud infrastructures.
Power Shell, Python and/or Ruby knowledge.
Experience deploying and operating AWS, specifically VPC, EC2, S3, EBS,IAM, ELB, Cloud Formation and Cloud Watch using the AWS console and AWS CLI.
AWS certification is a plus.
Demonstrated continuous integration expertise.
Demonstrated software development expertise.
Strong system administration experience supporting Windows platforms.
Strong SQL Server Knowledge (Integration services and reporting Services).
Experience working both independently and in a team:oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Bachelor in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent degree is required.
