Accomplishes these objectives by establishing production/planning systems, maintaining GMP, enforcing quality standards, and improving processes. This position manages and delegates authority to Section leaders (if applicable), Production Supervisors, Training, and any other personnel according to the functional area.- Management of staff - recruiting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities for them. Communicates job expectations and plans, monitors, and appraises job results.- Establishes production objectives, develops budgets, controls costs, and maximizes use of assets.- Assists in the integration of new technology and processes.- Coordinates the activities of Production Supervisors to support current and future production systems. Drives continuous improvement initiatives by identifying efficiency opportunities, participating in plant-wide CI teams, and conducting and evaluating experiments.- Active participation in site-wide strategic and tactical activities to support the organization's development.**Shift: Admin (Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)****On-Site position****Required Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field- 7+ years of related experience- Must have a track record of managing teams that accomplish objectives on schedule, and within budget.- Must be able to demonstrate past continuous improvement accomplishments.- Demonstrated proficiency on manufacturing systems used to collect data and control/monitor processes. For example SFA, SAP, Kronos, or similar.- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO and quality systems as FDA, MDD.- Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)**Preferred Qualifications**- Preferably experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical company.- Knowledge of Costa Rica laws applicable to direct labor operators is a plus.- Certification related or applicable to the medical industry.
