**About the job Senior IBM Sterling Engineer**:**Responsabilities**:- Collaborate with product management team and technology peers to support current and future business requirements- Contribute towards design by creating technical specifications documents- Perform hands-on development, build unit test cases. Resolve bugs found during QA testing and UAT- Work on performance tuning, code reviews and test strategies- Implement standards and best practices for software development- Promote API based integrations strategy and microservices based architecture- Remove blockers, and ensure on time delivery of projects while maintaining quality**Requirements**:- Bachelors degree in computer science, MIS or equivalent academic achievement or equivalent experience- At least five (5) years of IBM Sterling development experience- Experience in Java programming, SOAP/REST Web Services, messaging, and event-based architecture- Experience with Shell Scripts, JSON, and JMS compliant queues- Experience in XML, XML parsers, and XSL- Experience in customizing Sterling UIs: Order Hub and Call center- Experience of using SOAP UI, Postman, LDAP Clients, Source control utilities, Packaging and Build tools- Experience working with Oracle, DB2 and SQL Server databases- Experience of working in Agile and Scrum teams- Knowledge of DevSecOps in creating available, survivable, defensible, and resilient software.- Commitment to learning new technologies, completing training, acquiring certifications and being an impact player- Problem solving, analysis and ability to work under mínimal supervision- Track record of delivering results within established timelines- Strong communication skills and experience of working with diverse and remotely distributed teams
