The challenge
Adobe Lightroom is the tool of choice for photographers around the world, combining the power & depth that professionals expect with the accessibility needed by those who are earlier in their explorations with photography.
To help with our growth, the Lightroom team is looking for a desktop software engineer to help extend and enhance our industry-leading photography platform. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with other developers, designers, and customers to help evolve the next generation of photo management software for Mac and Windows desktop computers using Lua and C++. Help us design & build performant, sustainable features that mesh across our cloud-based architecture.

What you’ll do
Collaborate with team members to build and test innovative features for managing, editing, and sharing digital assets on Windows and macOS
Partner with colleagues building the server, mobile, and web solutions that make up the Lightroom ecosystem
Analyze and optimize performance of our desktop apps
Instrument and monitor features to make sure they perform reliably in the field
Follow Agile best practices to deliver high quality work on schedule
Share your skills, demonstrate results, and learn from others
What you need to be successful
BS/MS degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of experience as a software developer
Expertise with a dynamic language, such as Lua or JavaScript
Expertise with C/C++ programming
Experience in programming with Microsoft Windows APIs and/or MacOS Cocoa
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems across a distributed system
Familiarity with photography or digital asset management is a plus
Passion for creating quality applications customers love to use
