As a Software Engineer Student you will:
- Perform the development, customization, testing of SharePoint web parts/apps using MS Visual Studio/Git-hub.
- Provide fixing for SharePoint, O365 products (Teams, Planner, Yammer and more) problems within existing systems design/implementation of new systems, enhances the existing systems and participates in analysis, design and new construction of next generation IT systems.
- Provides all aspects of primary support of the SharePoint and O365 products service with a knowledge of appropriate utilities/tool, user roles and application permissions; and support of Microsoft web services on Windows servers.
- Provide Tier 5 level support in resolution of SharePoint and O365 products problems, from Development and Test environments through Pre-Production and Production environments.
- Engages with project/program partners on testing the performance of the solution for all releases
- Evaluates and recommends solutions to support test frameworks, manual and regression testing in multiple environments.
- Develops and maintains detailed and accurate documentation. Documentation may be required for operational procedures, troubleshooting aids, and technical analyses for products, features, and capabilities.
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems as needed during testing and build cycles.

We are looking for a candidate for a temporary position who has not yet graduated and is working towards a relevant Bachelor's, Specialist's, or Technical degree from a relevant academic institute. A Student employee can do specific work in the area of their future degree or work as a Generalist in a specific department. The studentship is limited in time with the intent to hire into an College Graduate / Technical Graduate position as appropriate
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active student currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or related subject.
- Must be able to stay at least 1 year as an active student.
- English skills at an intermediate to advanced level (both written and spoken).
- 3+ months of experience in: software development life cycle, software testing techniques, test methodologies and framework, strong coding/scripting instincts, as test automation is more similar to developing code OR Scripting and programming (ASP .Net, JavaScript, CSS, workflows, Office Apps, Azure functions)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in following languages and libraries: HTML5, JavaScript, C#, jQuery, CSS3, XML, J2EE, ASP.NET MVC, Bootstrap, React JS, WebLogic and/or Angular JS for development.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and processes used in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and optimizing web applications
- Microsoft Certifications a plus
