Sr Finance Bi Analyst

:Be able to 'tell a story' using advanced analytics and data visualization techniquesDerive data driven insights in close partnership with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Data Science teams to expose opportunities for revenue and cost optimizationLeverage visualization tools such as Power BI and SAS Visual Analytics to perform interactive data exploration that help businesses and senior leaders understand impact of seen opportunitiesSupport the maintenance and development of the centralized reporting environmentDevelop reporting solutions that set a higher standard in terms of analytical insight and user experienceBuild and maintain data models within Azure Analysis Services and DatabricksLead reporting solutions from ideation, development to end user trainingBuild and manage multiple projects, including milestones, deliverables, and communicationsEnsure the quality and correctness of the data through validation and reconciliationBuild data governance with scalable processes, refresh scheduling, and monitoring of report qualityPerforms other duties as assignedRequirements/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Statistics, or a related field, Master's preferred2-4 years' experience building dashboards and reporting solutions with PowerBIExpertise in programming languages (SQL, DAX, Python) and experience with cloud stack technologies (AWS, Redshift, Azure AAS)Experience analyzing large, complex data sets yielding opportunities for revenue and/or process improvement within an organizationExperience in a financial function preferred to best understand the data and customer baseConsistent track record of achieving desired results without direct report authorityAbility to problem solve and scale solutionsUnderstanding of data lakes and relational databases is requiredHighly numerate, with the ability to analyze, model and interpret dataA passion for accuracy with high levels of attention to detailA focus on delivering a quality product to specification and within agreed timelinesInterpersonal skills: exceptional verbal/written communication, listening and presentation skillsProven track record of achieving desired results without direct report authorityMinimal travel required <10%At Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
