This position is responsible for the coordination and accurate completion of the accounting month end process. This person is responsible for accurate financial statements reporting process in colones for local authorities such as PROCOMER or Ministerio de Hacienda, and in USD in compliance with US GAAP and SOX controls. This person is responsible to consolidate all information requested from Internal and External Audit. This person works closely with Plant Controller and Finance Manager for statutory advice and special projects.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPrepare and review journal entries and account analysis.Prepare financial Statements in local currency and functional currency assuring compliance to IFRS and USGAAP.Prepare and submit Balance sheet account reconciliations.Ensure that finance processes meets Sox Controls.Prepare, review and submit when required tax returns (D151, D101, D152).Prepare and submit Procomer´s Annual Report.Improve accounting processes and solve complex accounting transactions.Prepare financial reports for Corporate related to tax, intercompany transactions, and flux analysis in a timely and accurate manner.Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Leading external audits (PROCOMER, regulatory authorities).Control and supervise the financial statements translation (currency) for local presentation.Prepare and estimate Cash Forecast for Corp.Support Fixed Assets and Accounts Payable accountants to solve any technical issue.Support Plant Controller and Finance Manager in different projects.Any other task related to accounting requested by Management.Responsibilities EHSComply with statutory responsibility under the national or federal regulations such as taking reasonable care of his or her own safety, health and welfare and of any other persons who may be affected by his or her acts or omissions at work.Follow established EHS procedures and policies.Encourage coworkers to follow EHS procedures.Participate in employee engagement activities such as EHS inspections and EHS meetingsReport EHS incidents and hazards, assist in root cause analysis as appropriate, and cooperate in finding solutions or implementing improvement.Complete required EHS training.4-8 years of experienceBA, BS, Lic in Finance or Accounting.
