Responsible for executing low complexity sourcing events across Indirect Sourcing categories (IT Software/Hardware/Telecom, Professional Services, Facilities, MRO, etc.) as part of the Procurement Center of Excellence Buying Desk.**Key responsibilities**- Execute on one-time or low complexity sourcing requests as part of the Procurement Excellence Buying Desk- Gather and analyze data using procurement spend analytics tools- Work with Market Intelligence team to research and identify potential suppliers for sourcing requests- Perform basic cost and scenario analysis to analyze supplier bids- Research potential vendors, develop and execute RFx.- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation is translated to RFP and contracts as appropriate- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing delivering with suppliers and record annual P&L savings- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sourcing team members on category-specific requirements**Functional & technical skills**- Experience with sourcing process, vendor management, contract negotiations and procure to pay operations- Expertise in sourcing tools (e-sourcing, spend analytics, ERP, supplier management software)- Negotiation skills - will need to solicit bids and negotiate purchases directly with suppliers- Breadth of experience across Indirect Sourcing categories**Leadership / behavioral**- Agility and flexibility to develop expertise across sourcing categories in areas complementary to the existing team- Desire to grow and develop as a sourcing specialist and develop category expertise across Indirect portfolios (e.g., Services, IT and Facilities)- Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment - self-starter who looks for ways to improve existing processes- Strong customer service orientation, keen to deliver on internal customer needs- Independent worker with ability to track and manage own deadlines- Ability to gather, interpret and analyze data to inform sourcing decisions- Desire to mentor and coach junior team members**Experience & Qualification**- Proven working experience as purchasing/sourcing agent or officer- 2+ years of purchasing experience / negotiations- Degree in supply chain management, operations or business administration (nice to have)- English language competency (verbal and written)
