About the role :
Boston Scientific Information Technology is looking for a Senior Software Developer to support and deliver software solutions supporting strategic initiatives within the HR Information Systems (HRIT) team. This individual should be highly motivated with excellent analysis, development and execution skills. In this position, you will work independently and with others including business partners and cross:functional IT team members to support custom applications and deliver new. The individual should enjoy working in a fast paced environment delivering highly impactful work.
You're Responsibilities Include:
:Acts as a liaison between business leads, end:users, information technology analysts, consultants and other internal organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of custom developed systems to ensure optimal operational performance
:Work with IT project managers, and the key Business representatives to assess requests, identify solution options, diagnose, and solve for existing system and related business process issues.
:Provide technical expertise and support of key HR custom solutions working with internal and external groups.
:Provides technical expertise of custom software solutions and needs supporting HR projects, other technology, and initiatives that support multiple Boston Scientific functions.
:Manages deliverables and adheres to project plans, tasks, and deliverables; identifies dependencies and resource requirements
:Appropriately communicates project status, escalates issues, and manages timelines and action items
:May lead or assist in testing and implementation of custom developed solutions.
:Identifies opportunities for improvement that will best meet with customer and general business and system requirements
:Works closely with other development teams (internal and external) to assure a timely solution is delivered according to the specifications and implementation needs of the business
:Interface/Integration experience preferred
:Strong understanding of software development and managing System Change Requests
What We're Looking For :
:5+ years' experience in software development
:Experienced with HTML 5, CSS, Responsive Web Design, Restful Web Services, SQL Server, .NET
:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5+ years of custom software development and support.
:Speaks fluent English
:Experience partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects, including working with off:shore and geographically dispersed teams
:Medical device, life sciences industry background preferred
:Experience in a regulated environment preferred
:Project management experience
:Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
:Minimal travel may be required
:Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
:Self:starter with strong, proactive work ethic
:Exceptional organizational and time management skills working independently
