About the role:
The software test engineer will join a small and highly effective product quality team, working side:by:side with developers in an Agile environment, developing test cases for a wide range of software components, including user interface, algorithms, and back:end data handling. The position will also include automating test scripts, manual execution of tests, and interacting with a variety of electronic equipment in the lab. The software test engineer will also be in charge of establishing a new software test team in Costa Rica, providing guidance and ramp up to junior engineers.
You're Responsibilities Include:
:Design, develop and execute test cases to ensure the quality of the product by proving system functionality, verify business and user requirements are met in Electrophysiology domain area.
:Manual execution of tests, automate test scripts
:Ensure that tests have been conducted in accordance with written procedures.
:Document test results and write test reports.
:Record and track defects in a bug tracking system.
:Ramping up and guidance of junior engineers.
What We're Looking For:
:The ideal candidate Position requires Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering or related field
:2 years of experience in testing for product quality
:2 years of experience in test automation including design, developing and execution of automated test scripts.
:A strong product quality and testing experience preferably in medical device domain
:Some programming experience is desirable. Working knowledge of Python and C++ is highly desirable.
:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
:A natural attention to detail and a penchant for organizing and documenting.
:A good learner who can master complex software and quickly adapt to new tools and technologies.
:Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively as part of a team
:Ability to teach and mentor junior engineers.
