Staff IT Cloud Engineer - Technology OperationsContribute to IT system architecture, design solutions, and projects focused on cloud infrastructure. Provide a robust Site Reliability Engineering-driven approach to release management, infrastructure operations, and disaster recovery troubleshooting.**Key Responsibilities**:Architect robust cloud solutions that are scalable and meet the needs of solution development while ensuring it is in adherence to appropriate regulatory requirementsEvaluate new IT technologies and build effective solutionsArchitect end-to-end solutions using Cloud services and microservices (e.g., IoT and Container Services) and partner with key stakeholders (e.g., BU) to evaluate business needsPerform complex software code review for products and review code from team membersEnsure service health by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system conditionParticipate in our on-call rotationProvide coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer to other team members**Education and Experience**:Bachelor's Degree in related field, 7 years of related experience Required**Other**: Certifications in AWS, Azure or GCP**Additional Skills**:Experience programming in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, or Go.Demonstrated experience with best of Breed Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure and Software solutionsDemonstrated experience with an array of cloud products in AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCPDemonstrated experience on best practices for AWS or Azure account setup, governance, and architectureExpert experience with Windows & Linux system engineering for combined hardware, software systemsProficiency with software tools for requirements management, engineering analysis, and statistical analysis.Demonstrated technical project management skills on multi-year projects with multi-functional teamsFamiliarity with container and resource management technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Apache Mesos preferredExcellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skillsExpert knowledge of Azure IaaS components like VMs, Virtual networks, Storage and PaaS components like App Service, Serverless computing, StorageExpert knowledge of AWS VPCs, Subnets, EC2s, routing.Expert knowledge of AWS Compute, Storage, IoT, Developer Tools.Expert knowledge of IaC toolsets such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organizationAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentAdhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/controlAbout Edwards LifesciencesEdwards Lifesciences is the global leader in patient-focused medical innovations for structural heart disease, as well as critical care and surgical monitoring.
