Purpose

With general supervisory direction, assist Manufacturing engineers/teams in the development of products, processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

* Demonstrates a commitment to patient safety and product quality

* Provides floor support for new product builds (e.g., troubleshoots equipment and manufacturing engineering problems)

* Collects data and performs basic statistical analysis for process characterization, Cpk, and scrap reduction goals.

* Coordinates process change (VIP, revalidation) builds, including procurement of needed components and ensuring proper documentations is followed.

* Supports equipment/fixture development from simple production aids to full automation.

* Executes and documents equipment qualifications (plans, builds, and reports).

* Assists in writing new detailed processes and implementing changes to existing documentation.

* Performs DOE/process characterization builds on production line.

* Interfaces with other departments to obtain/deliver materials and information.

* Generates new ideas for improving processes.

* Trains production trainers/operators/manufacturing technicians on new processes.
