About the Role: To efficiently manage and enhance the operational stability of critical data ingestion processes across diverse systems, ensuring seamless information flow for leaders within the organization. Execute proactive monitoring, timely issue identification, root cause analysis, and effective communication with stakeholders, both internal system owner groups and external vendors. Dedicate efforts to maintain and improve data integrity, playing a pivotal role in supporting the global supply chain organization's need for accurate and timely information, facilitating informed decision-making daily. Your Responsibilities Include: Monitoring Data Ingestion: Utilize monitoring tools to oversee the execution of data ingestion jobs, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and data throughput during ingestion processes. Proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks or issues in data ingestion pipelines. Issue Escalation and Incident Management: Respond promptly to system alerts and anomalies, escalating critical issues to the appropriate teams or individuals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a swift resolution to system interruptions or failures. Document and track incidents, maintaining a comprehensive record for future reference and analysis. Follow up on any job failures or problems. Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough troubleshooting of data ingestion issues, employing a systematic approach to identify root causes. Collaborate with technical teams to perform in-depth analysis of system logs, error messages, and data anomalies. Implement corrective actions to address immediate issues and prevent recurrence. Analyze and resolve data and process errors within Rapid Response. Communication with Stakeholders: Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on the status of data ingestion jobs and systems' health. Communicate effectively with business users, translating technical details into non-technical language as needed. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for system improvements and enhancements. Support end user training by providing answers to technical or system specific questions as needed. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, job schedules, and troubleshooting procedures. Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues, solutions, and best practices. Foster knowledge sharing within the team to enhance collective expertise and problem-solving capabilities. Manage all incidents, work orders & change requests. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance system reliability. Propose and implement improvements to data ingestion workflows and job scheduling processes. Participate in post-incident reviews to capture lessons learned and implement preventive measures. Compliance and Security: Adhere to BSC software development methodologies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions & required trainings. Collaborate with security teams to implement and monitor access controls and data encryption measures. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies related to data security. End user management (add/remove/modify) involving setting up user permissions. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Admin or related Field. 2+ years of relevant experience English Level desired: 70% - 79%. Proficiency in 1+ programming language (Python, R, etc) and/or Advanced working knowledge of data mining using ETL, data warehouse Data-related roles or validated equivalent Support experience in a global environment including coordination and alignment with multiple stakeholders. Experience in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4 HANA Should have worked on the preparation of Technical Specification documents. Excel knowledge Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
