We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian faith.Come join our 34,000+ staff working in nearly 100 countries and share the joy of transforming vulnerable children's life stories!Key Responsibilities:- in the Americas (North, Central, South America or the Caribbean - LACR)._- _Please submit your CV in English._Major ResponsibilitiesLeadership- Support the World Visions positioning's as a competent, innovative and effective humanitarian agency by advising that the LACRO responds professionally to all Categories of emergencies, under takes effective disaster advisor.- Advice Regional on matters related to HEA emergency response.- Matrix relationship to National HEA and Global Response, when applicable.- Advise Regional Director and National Offices on all aspects relating to HEA especially in determining appropriate assessment and response level to lead for all stakeholders that could be involved.- Coordinate NO in capacity building initiatives and forums, facilitate the establishment and functioning of emergency mobilization-based preparedness and response strategiesStrategy- Overseeing contribution in the Global Strategy (Our Promise 2030) in Humanitarian response.- Advise the National Offices in developing effective HEA priorities and plans, according direction of the Regional Director.- Advise the development HEA strategies, priorities and plans contributing to appropriate and timely disaster mitigationsTechnical support- Monitoring to the development of global policies, guidelines and standards relating to HEA and provide assessment in contextualizing and mainstreaming these within the region.- Advising capacity building, organizational reflection and support during and after HEA emergency response implementation.- Monitoring National Offices to have a functioning National Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund (NEPRF) in place as per the NEPRF policy guidelines.Operational support- Advise and assessment meetings and network.- Advise with Regional Director and the National Offices in HEA, providing appropriate emergency response assessments through capacity building and planning processes.- Advise with Regional Director in new initiatives to be implemented in sub region LACR.- Monitoring projects on a regular basis, considering policy implications and offering appropriate support.Capacity building & Knowledge management- Advise assessment needs in capacity building HEA projects/ initiatives in alignment with the sub regional and regional capacity building framework and strategies- Support the Regional Disaster Management Team (RDMT) to develop capacity development plans for the members along with capacity development plans for the HEA Point Persons in Sub Region LACR.- Advise the Regional Director to be closely to Security and P&C in developing the Staff Care focus of HEA management and staff capacity building in Critical Incident Stress Advisor.- At a strategic and policy level, according to Regional Director, could represent WV with Government agencies, UN, INGO and Church bodies, in collaboration with National Offices, when applicable- Assessment HEA as a contributing to Child Well-Being (CWB) monitoring reports and breaking silos between development and relief.Required Professional ExperienceMinimum:- At least 5 years' experience in Program Management in complex, international organization preferably NGO context.- A proven record of developing people in a cross-cultural setting and initiating and implementing organizational change at leadership level.- Significant senior level leadership experience in an international environment, preferably in LACR.- Experience in budget management.Preferred- At least 5 years' experience in the humanitarian sector including humanitarian charters, laws and standards.- Experience managing a virtual team with senior technical expertiseRequired Education- At least 5 years' experience in Program Management in complex, international organization preferably NGO context MBA or equivalent in Humanitarian affairs, Social Sciences or similar.Preferred Knowledge and QualificationsMinimum:- Practice servant leadership and be a role model for the staff team, peers and others.- Ability to work with a reasonably level of comfort in high tension and high security risk situations.- A thorough understanding of all areas of HEA minimum standards including Child Rights.- Strong strategic, analytical, organizational, creative, facilitation and leadership skills.- A mature and committed Christian.- High level of awareness of global, regional socio-economic and political issues in Latin America & Caribbean.- Strong skills in strategy development, prioritization and implementation.- Fluency in Spanish and English.- Strong abi
