CPS manufactures concentrates and beverage bases for sale to bottling partners all over the world. This global organization manages a network of 19 manufacturing plants in 18 different countries. As the CPS Liberia Automation & Digitization Architect, in Liberia you will be part to one of the most technologically advanced concentrate plants in the world. The new concentrate plant in Liberia is considered within The Coca-Cola Company as the new state of the art manufacturing center, and you, from your position, will be leading a management function, responsible for the technical and productivity future of the organization an also, responsible for keeping the Plant up-to-date with technology. The Automation & Digitization Architect is responsible for detailed design, development and implementation of IT and automation use cases. A key objective of this role is to increase productivity and improve efficiency in CPS plant by leveraging advances in both IT and Automation technologies. The role will also be responsible for:Determining the factory software architecture and automation technology platforms required to deliver the CPS Digital Transformation. Leading the technical implementation of a broad set of technologies including the development of bespoke and/or heavily customized applications, introducing off-the-shelf IT/Controls applications to enable digitization of the factory floor and implementation of advanced, highly automated manufacturing improvements (use cases). Interfacing with senior management and will require of mix of technical skills, project management and in depth knowledge of both factory floor and supply chain operations.Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:Feasibility assessments and estimation of time and cost for approved use casesProject Management, design/knowledge documentation, working with vendors.Programming in multiple environments (C#, VB.Net, SQL, Python, Vision, Robotics, PLCs, HMIs)Database administration and development of SQL (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS etc)Validation & DocumentationSystem Handover to site production support.CPS is embarking an Industry 4.0 Initiative that will provide the foundation for the CPS ‘Smart Factory’ of the future. The primary objective of this role is to increase productivity and improve efficiency in CPS plant by leveraging advances in both IT and Automation technologies. The technologies involved will be advanced systems that have not yet been deployed within the CPS production environment.Comply with the guidelines of Food Safety, Integrated Management System (Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety), KORE Corporate Standards and any other applicable legal requirements, established or subscribed by the Company, related to your job, complying with the policies, internal plans and procedures that ensure the proper implementation and continuous improvement of the company.Analyst:Identify technological solutions to defined shop floor and supply chain improvement use cases.Project manage software and controls centered projects, whilst ensuring robust verification & validation.Translate User Requirements into functional applications.Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code.Maintain source control using source control.Deliver product documentation to support application support and lifecycle.Integrate new and existing applications to external vendor systems including databases and Industrial devices.Job Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline. At least 6 or 8 year in similar roles or similar function and proven experience in delivering complex plant controls projects to a high standard.
